CLASS DESCRIPTION:

 

Wednesday Night Tool Classes

 

• Courses will be 3-week sessions.
• Pre-ride inspection & preventive maintenance.
• Adjustment of shifting, brakes, & headset.
• Servicing of bottom bracket & hubs.
• Replacement of chain, brake pads, cables.
• Estimated class time is 3 hours per session.

 

 

 

 

  To ensure all material is covered there are a few requirements for the class.  Bicycles need to be current models either Road or Mountain. Please be prepared to learn a little about both if we have a mixed class. Tools will be provided. You will be working on your own bicycle. You will need to bring it to every class. If you do not complete the work in the lab time you will have homework. If you need to leave your bicycle you can store it at the shop.

  We understand different people work at different speeds. We will do our best to provide you extra time in the shop to finish your project if you are slower or need to do additional work. If you have never changed a tire and don’t know how your quick releases work or you don’t know a hex key from a screwdriver you will need to set up a time to meet with a mechanic at the shop before you take the class.

  Cost per session $125.00 This includes a copy of the Park Big Blue Book Repair Manuel, 9 hours of class time, & use of shop tools and lubricants. 15% discount on tools purchased during 3-week session only. 10%-30% discount on parts installed during the class. You must register 2 weeks before a session. Registration is in store only and payment must be made in advance. No payments over the phone. Class size is limited to 3 students. If you will miss a session we will try to fit you in the same class next session if there is space available. During the winter we could run into a snow day. We will set up alternative times to cover course work.
